Katsushige Anryu has been a blacksmith for over 50 years. He apprenticed under his father. He is incredibly meticulous. We love his shapes. His knives are incredibly thin, great taper, and awesome finishes. Anryu-San has retired and his nephew Takumi Ikeda has taken over the Anryu name. Ikeda-San has been working with Anryu-San for 15 years and has been doing majority of the work for the past few years. The quality is the same as if made by Anryu-San. We are excited to see what Ikeda-San brings to the future.
