Recently Imanishi-San has started selling these Ozuku stones. Slurry will develop but a nagura stone is recommended to aid in creating some slurry. This stone is great for razors and tools. These stones are mined in Kyoto Japan. Natural whetstones wear much slower then synthetic stones. This stone will last years if not tens of years.
This beautiful Ozuku stone is near perfect on all sides with a almost suita color. This is a must have for any collector. It is a hard stone that can be used to finish hard knives but may still leave small scratches, it is really great for tools and razors. It also has some beautiful natural stone skin on the bottom
