Sho-Honyama natural stones are mined in Kyoto Japan. They are found in very limited quantities. Great finishing stones. It is suggested to use a nagura stone to help create slurry. Natural stones dish very slow. A stone this size can last a lifetime.
The Sho-Honyama Type A is slightly harder then the B. Meant more for Razors and Tools, this stone can also finish knives with the proper practice, technique, and Nagura. This stone is in impeccable shape and is very large.
