Sho-Honyama natural stones are mined in Kyoto Japan. They are found in very limited quantities. Great finishing stones. It is suggested to use a nagura stone to help create slurry. Natural stones dish very slow. A stone this size can last a lifetime.

We offer Natural stone Lacquering service, using genuine Japanese Urushi Lacquer. After purchase please contact us or leave a note that you would like the service. The service also includes sealing cracks with resin. Price is $30 and takes up to 2 weeks for the lacquer to cure.
